Ecoprise

Ecoprise aims to promote a new entrepreneurial model and skillset for a new professional figure, the Ecoprise Designer, able to contribute to local regenerative development, promoting a harmonious coexistence between human life and nature within enterprises. To achieve this, the project will create a multi-sectoral alliance bringing together Higher Education Institutions, VET providers, enterprises, and non-profit associations. Together, they will develop a multi-disciplinary course (MOOC) on Ecopreneurship, - future-oriented social entrepreneurship through ecovillage design- inspired by the four dimensions of sustainability. The course will be recognized through micro-credentials and a European certification.

Why Ecoprise?

ECOPRISE has the following specific objectives

To identify successful examples of social enterprises and ecovillages and analyse existing skill gaps in the two fields in order to design a tailored entrepreneurial model and a new professional profile able to support its deployment: the Ecoprise Designer.

To develop an online Ecoprise design course, as a cross-sectoral international study programme inspired by Ecovillage Design Education, and to identify related Learning Outcomes paving the way for its European recognition.

To pilot test the Ecoprise course to ensure that its final version fully responds to real needs and fills existing gaps, thus contributing to create a new generation of Ecopreneurs through a diversified learning approach, including work-based learning experiences.

To ensure effective evaluation of the project activities and enhance the transferability and international recognition of the newly-created Ecoprise course, by finalising it based on a thorough impact analysis and certifying it through Micro-credentials.

To stimulate more sustainable business practices, raise awareness on Ecoprise core topics and mainstream its results and approaches with key stakeholders and policymakers.
